Can you post some videos of what your navigation screen is doing when you are driving?

Also what do you mean by WIFI? You mean the hotspot?

Guys, thank you for your help. I have been fighting the "device not supported" error for the past year and it has been progressively getting worse. On top of that it has been taking forever for android auto to start. All the BS about change your cable, use a manufacturer cable as the the default response had no variable for me as the error would occur with a known functional USB drive which means no cable. I even upgraded my phone with the idea that it is the same phone I have used since I bought the JT and maybe the android auto issues were related to the older phone not being able to handle newer versions. I have been pretty dead set on the belief this was a software/hardware issue for some time but with the uconnect site showing no updates available but knowing that people who pay for the map updates were often getting a software update to support the updated map had me frustrated (I loath the interface on the nav system just trying to put in an address, especially if it is in another state and I leave Indiana into Illinois almost daily). I recently lost my temper with the "device not supported" message with nothing plugged in what so ever and then the phone failing to connect while I was 7 hours away driving home so I replaced the AUX battery which I knew was failing as it has been listed as causing electronic gremlins but that didn't resolve the issued. This thread and the input from everyone gave me the knowledge and enough comfort to perform the upgrade without issue. For reference I was also running the 22.42.11 version with the uconnect 34.32.0. Everything DailyDrivenTJ provided was on the money. Right about 25 minutes roughly for the whole process. Fingers crossed that this resolves the USB issues and maybe the radio won't be as laggy. Other than the fact I would like a new toy I have no reason to do so and being able to keep this JT in the garage means no money out of pocket and I don't have to move my crap out of it. I was the first Gladiator sold out of this dealership and no one has ever touched it other than their safety drive off the truck so I took my test drive with less than 10 miles on it and I still have less than 40k miles on it. Now that there isn't an Overland option it just makes it a bit more special. I just wanted to share my two bits and say thank you for everyone who chipped in about their experience with the upgrade, what versions they were running and so forth. I was close to biting the bullet on the "sale price" email yesterday for the $149 map upgrade (plus $3.95 shipping and handling on top of that). Now that I went through the headache of the aux battery replacement (god save the queen for any of you that haven't dealt with that fun yet, especially it is 10 degrees outside like it was for me) hopefully the USB issues will settle down and I can make the final payment on the JT next month knowing I am good for a while because the idea of crazy money for an Alpine radio so that I can maintain the camera and controls to upgrade the radio just isn't a viable price point for something as basic as a radio that makes me miss the basic radio in my 2011 JK that didn't even have bluetooth.
