Ininstalled a genesis dual battery set up today and now my uconnect is fucked. Im hoping some kind of update can go over the air and update it?

Gone from uconnect:

-uconnect controls of heated seat gone
-satellite radio is gone, no icon at all
-off road pages gone, no icon
-stereo equalizer no longer works. You can slide the bars but it wont alter any settings anymore. Stays at “0”

up for any ideas anyone has. Thanks.

edit- looks like it is starting to repopulate. Many thanks all. 👍

I don't have one but when I was researching the Genesis awhile back this seems to be common. Usually it corrects it self is what I've read. Let it sit over night.
ok. If it doesnt sort itself out over the air, ill try the USB route.

man dont go betting on that. Hahaha.they call for two group 25 batteries, and unless Im an idiot (totally possible) the optima red top group 25’s arent the same size as other 25’s. So now i gotta cut some foam and lock them in securely. 🤦🏻‍♂️

It should just resolve itself. Had the same issue when I upgraded from 7" to 8.4" Just let it sit for a bit. For me I installed and left it alone over night.

Don’t the optima line have a larger shell. Seems like I ran into the same issue on an install few years back. Not sure if it can be removed to expose a “normal” dimensioned battery.

in this case the optima red tops are smaller than standard...

Well. Called Genesis off road. Went from “we’ve never seen or heard of that before, send us pics and call back” to “oh. Uh. He’s busy but ill have him call you“, to no call back, to me sending another email, to, “yeah, everyone knows that optima’s run smaller so not sure why you got those, but it should be fine”. I ❤ vendors.

🤷🏼‍♂️

gonna cut some solid foam and tighten it up And itll be gtg. Over all its a really slick system, and Id do it again- just dont use optima batteries with it.

Whenever the Uconnect system is rebooted (complete power loss) it takes about 24 hours for it to reset and return to normal operation. It can take longer if the cellular coverage is poor in that area.
