This truck will be pretty pricy, how much debt are you willing to take on to own one?

What trim are you thinking?
:shrug I'm only buying one truck.

Do you mean, if you get a Rubicon then you'll finance and if it's a Sport you'll pay cash?

I will finance every blessed cent including taxes and registration through my credit union. I plan to keep it forever, so I'd rather be upside down as long as possible. This way if anything happens to it in the first couple of years I'm not out a large down payment and gap insurance will make up the rest.

Depends on if I can find an auto loan rate lower than my mortgage rate (adjusted for tax benefits).

I would trade in my JKU which is worth somewhere between 25-30K and finance the rest.

Are they for sale?
Is it really a truck?
Pay for it?
Is it real or a government scam/coverup? ( I heard they get the first 7000)
Will they make more?
I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to paint the dash.....

Seriously, not sure if I want one until I drive it.
I need a truck to tow my travel trailer and do everything else, not sure if the 3.6 is going to
do it.

Trading in my 2011 Grand Cherokee and paying cash for the rest unless I can find a credit union that will finance for under 3% (unlikely). It doesn't make financial sense to me to take out a loan when I can avoid interest and fees and pay outright.

I'm hoping for a 50 50 outcome . . . 50% G.C. trade (less taxes due on new vehicle) + 50% cash (check). This won't be feasible IF the cost of the new vehicle is over 50K - based on current trade in values and speculation on a new JT or New JLU for that matter. Gee, just think how much I could SAVE if I "suffered" with keeping my G.C. and adding about 3K > 5K in off-road accessories ? that's the last option.

Well we already know the tow capacity of the 3.6 JT's various models with & without max tow package . . . how much does your TT weigh ? tongue weight ? 2 + 2 = 4 ! so they say! Don't think any dealer is gonna allow you to test tow your TT with a "regular" test drive ! Of course if you have doubts, and your wanting to be "in the Family" there's always the RAM DT ? Hope it works out .
