I keep getting msg about apps

It popped up again today. Seems almost random. Sometimes I am driving, sometimes I'm sitting putting on my seat belt after starting the truck as it sits in the lean-to of my shop. Today I was on the way home from doctor and it popped up and stayed there until I hit ok. In fact it always stays there until I hit ok. The music kept playing and nothing seems to have stopped but this is like the 4th or 5th time...

Mine just did that too. Over air update maybe?? I just picked my truck up from service getting instrument panel replaced due to flicker... I donā€™t want to take it back in already :mad::mad: off road pages and other apps are greyed out.

Mine just did that too. Over air update maybe?? I just picked my truck up from service getting instrument panel replaced due to flicker... I donā€™t want to take it back in already :mad::mad: off road pages and other apps are greyed out.
It's only that message and it's happened multiple times - at least 4 times, perhaps 5, but 4 for sure. It never indicated updates.

I was under the assumption that the dealer did these updates as they said that I could use my phone for nav as it would be updated where uconnect wouldn't be unless I paid.

Well poop. I guess back to the service department for mine :( I only had my truck 3 days before putting it in the shop for a week and the day I get it out of shop... yet another problem. Sux.

Are you going to take yours in ShadowsPapa? Do your apps grey out too?

It's happened when playing music - so I can't really tell what else happens. I touch OK and the screen pop-up goes away and everything seems fine. I've never tried any apps at the time - perhaps if it happens again I should see if I can use anything else on it.
I don't know if it's lost communications with something or what.
I'm going to wait to see if it happens again and go from there.

I just went for a drive and all apps are working again. I will give it some time as well, hopefully just a dropped connection or update and all is good.

I will have to take mine into the dealer again. My apps die every day so far (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). They work in the morning then at some point in the day I get that message and they go grey for the rest of the day. I will probably take it in next week though. I want to drive this thing for a little while.

Got it again - was taking the east mix-master NE of DSM, pulling onto I 80 west bound coming from under the overpass and the message popped up. Don't know about apps because it's normally on the MUSIC screen - but touched ok and the message went away and all was fine.
So I've got to find someone who knows about this issue. Dealer said "never seen such a thing, never heard of that before". Yeah, right......

:angry: Yeah, something is definitely not working. I hope they can figure out easily and not just start swapping components out until it goes away. I will keep you updated with what my dealer says.

I'm going to present the picture I took of that message to the dealer closest to me next time I am up that direction. I'm not making a special 45 minute trip to the service department of the other dealership - they have a whole chain of "service writers" and you must get past them to talk to anyone about anything. Forget that BS.

If I am out in my shop working, due to my living in a rural area with spotty cell service and the fact my shop is a 2 story double steel wall insulated building - I can't get calls out there. I CAN get emails as I have my network extended into my shop and have wi-fi and my chromebook out there. Otherwise I check messages when I return to the house in case I miss a call.
