So maybe this is well known the the Uconnect headunits (at least without premium alpine audio) 100% is limiting volume.
I’m guessing to protect components or limit draw from the head unit. This is why people are having weird volume issues.
One song may be nice and loud at 30(volume level) but then drop really quiet if there’s a note or frequency that pushes beyond the limit. Then the volume will just right back up when that frequency or note(s) are gone.
Additionally volume does increase past volume level 28, however, it’s quite limited and generally no effective as you’re already so close to this imposed limit by volume level 28.
Sucks real hard and I’m guessing a software or hardware fix is the only way via third party or a new head unit and amp. I highly doubt this will ever be patched.
Has this issue already been discussed and the problem identified?
I have a background in sound design which is why I’ve been trying to pay close attention.
Note: This is a repost from a message I put on FB. Figured I’d reach more people here.
