If you were about to spend $1500 on your jeep what would you do? Just asking for open discussion and day dreaming. As if we needed more distraction from jeep thoughts during work.

I am torn on what I want to do next to my Gladiator.
Was thinking bed rack.... Then thought of new rear bumper, again.... Then thought of gravity light bar. or lights. or new front bumper, again. Then found clearlidz again....

Pretty much sold right now on getting the clearlidz, so i'm really not asking what I should do next, just wondering what YOU would do.

Re-gear and if I could sneak it in price wise, rear locker.
The old jeep owner trick of telling the wife "1500, then saying "for $1700 I can do this and I won't have to redo this in 6 months agian" trick can come into play here...

Yes for sure. Combined labor now or double the labor later.

That is a loaded question cause it could go in so many ways. A lot depends on at what stage the jeep is in. New, Already started modding, etc. What is it being used for. Biggest thing I see people doing is putting on a lot of stuff they likely don't or won't ever used. You mentioned Clearlidz which I think is almost $1500 that is a lot to just have clear panels. Think I would put that on a soft top which I could then open up the entire top. A spare $1500 I think at the stage my truck is in would have to go Underseat storage, sound system upgrade

1) Level kit install w/ alignment - $500

2) Red Rock HD Stubby Bumper - $400

3) Some kind of muffler upgrade to give this thing some grunt - $200

4) Cheap winch - $400

All that being said, why is every quote for the level kit install around $500? Seems high for an install and front alignment.

500 for just the front? The front is the easy part! Literally can get the front done in like 2 hours in your garage. The local shop here is 400 for a full lift kit install. Also are you adding new adjustable arms or brackets? if not the alignment is not needed since the only thing they could do is recenter the steering wheel for you (toe wont change).

That’s odd then. Maybe Houston shops just suck.

No new control arms or brackets. Just the 1.5” Teraflex front level kit. I guess I need to shop around a little more. I should do it myself but damn I’m lazy these days.
