Has anyone tried something like this? As someone that will almost certainly leave the hardtop on and just work with the panels, this seems like a good idea. Granted, these pictures are from a JLU with a different hardtop, cage, etc., but I could certainly see a way to do it. Original thread linked at the bottom.

This has me rethinking my desire for a headliner. Jackets, hats, towels/blankets, pillows...could be pretty handy for trips with the family.

My OCD would go haywire everytime I'd look in the rearview mirror. But it is a smart way to use the space. Maybe a thicker strap like the Safari Straps. And Black. Make it less subtle. But that's al just preference.

Without ripping out the plastic panels at the rear of my hardtop to see what's in there, does anyone know of some good fastening points at the rear towards the bed to accomplish this? The JLU has a cross bar behind the rear seats that our JTs do not. Not really sure what to connect things to.

I contacted Blueridge back in November when I took delivery of my JT. The JLU version doesn’t work for the JT but they are working on a design for our JTs.
Perfect...with 3 kids we definitely need one when it comes out!

I had a setup like this on my JK and loved it. With the straps tight it can be fairly flat to the roof and perfect to toss a sweatshirt. i lengthened the straps when camping With no passengers and could stuff sleeping bags and tent up there.

I always left the front or back open so that I could easily put stuff up there.

Exactly what I want to use it for...
