Decided that I am going to do a hemi swap, and debating on whether to take the magnuson off and deal with the hassles of selling (and returning to stock), or just take the hit on it with the engine credit. Have looked around marketplace, here, and JL forums, not many out there. Thoughts?

There is a market, but most people want almost what they paid for it.

In reality, aftermarket upgrades go for about half of new retail, or less.

What's the engine credit? Is it like a core charge? And they would give you more and if so how much more with a supercharger attached?

they said 3-4K, with or w/o the sc.
Debating if it’s even worth the hassle to remove and try to sell for 2500-3k that I’d list it for. Tbh, I don’t really feel like removing it, and paying to have it removed would really defeat the purpose.

It will cost $2k to remove it, and take awhile to sell it for $2k. Not worth it removing. I also found out it made more sense to buy a 392 swapped one and sell my s/c one money wise. My Jeep was worth $55k at the time, and the 392 swap was $45k. I bought a swapped one for $75k and sold mine for $55k. Saved $25k, got a better color, more options, etc.

Yep, that is what i'm thinking as well.
As far as the second part, have heavily thought of that as well, and would absolutely be the smartest route financially!

Especially, after seeing what some recent BAT auctions have brought for 392 and HC JTR's! I have my JTR exactly the way I want it unfortunately, and doing the 426 swap. Haven't seen any of them fs yet.

What's the mileage on said blower?

If it's 36k miles or more........you won't be happy with the offers. I spent plenty of time rebuilding and porting LSA blowers. I would not nor the shops I worked at would install a used blower UNLESS it had been rebuilt before install.

The labor cost and no warranty is a steep risk on top of the buying cost.

What i dont inderstand is why so many modern petrol engines with forced induction are replacing v8s due to environmental regulations...4 and 6 cylinder engines that are putting out considerable horespower, and yet people are wanting to swap out the v6 for a v8 for seems to be performance reasons?

I agree the v8 simply sounds better...of that there is no doubt, but on a performance vs economy comparison, is the v8 actually better such that its worth the overall running cost? Fuel prices are getting high.

Id like to supeecharge my pentastar v6, but it seems after a relatively short run, the engines are failing. Is that the real issue here?

I had zero issues with my supercharged Gladiator as far as "they all blow up". 95% of the people that say that on every s/c thread have never owned one.

That being said, it was a waste of money. The truck felt like it had a very slight power bump, not what I was looking for at all. I’d bet the new owner has zero idea it is even supercharged since the dealer that bought it never advertised it that way.

My JTR definitely runs better with the sc, no question about it. The low end torque to pull inclines at low rpm’s on 39’s is great. Much better than the na 3.6. Fuel mileage with the sc was good as well.
Knowing the 3.6 is not a good base for FI, I clench my jaw everytime I go north of 3k rpm’s, knowing it’s not a matter of if, but when.
As far as the fuel mileage reference above, we’re driving lifted trucks with the aerodynamics of a shoebox on huge tires. Not worried about saving dinosaur bones.
