Finally something other than "I bet it's the battery".
No, that doesn't sound like battery ......... sounds like a wiring/connection issue.
The fact it started fine indicates there's enough power there to crank and start it, and the two batteries are in parallel when running so the voltage should be the same at each point, or very close.
Too bad you have to actually run the off road pages or be sitting with the cluster to display voltage. There should be oil pressure, voltage on display at all times, none of this "I have to change displays to see the voltage".
Good grief - my OLD cars have volt meters, oil pressure and other important info always on display.
