Jeep Adventure Academy - Central Texas

I just landed an opening at the Jeep Adventure Academy in Central Texas at Inks Ranch. Has anyone here been to an Adventure Academy Event? If so please share some details.

It’ll be my first time and I’m looking forward to it.

Yes only been a little over 30 days. It is in shipping stage supposed to be delivered between yesterday and the 23rd. I'm just getting antsy LOL

Did the first one there with my son in his stock JLU. No lift and street tires. We had a great day and he learned a lot about his Jeeps abilities and his. Great people just trust your spotters. And it’s a beautiful area very few people get to see. You will see everything from bone stock to highly modified.

I went last year and had a great time. Instructors and guides were great and it was the first time I got my gladiator out on something more than simple trails. Stock rubis had no issue but did drag the hitch receiver on this decline as they leveled out onto the ground. Nothing to be scared of but just giving you a heads up.

That looks pretty cool. Never saw the Adventure Academy before. I'm close enough to go but have the Pinewood Derby that weekend. Do you know if they do it in the same locations every year?

(Really tempted to not tell anyone about the pinewood derby and go anyway.)

I dont know if it’s at the same location every year, but they have had one in central Texas over the last couple of years. I didn’t sign up in time and was able to grab someone’s cancelled spot…

Finally getting around to posting some pictures. The event was fun with about 20 or so Jeeps and Gladiators with people showing up from across Texas. One interesting piece of information is that 23 model Jeeps and Gladiators will have an Armorlite floor option. First half of the day was discussing off-roading features/safety types for the Jeeps. Then went on a trail ride that lasted about an hour. Came back, had lunch and then the Jeep Academy reps went over vendor products and recovery dos and don’ts. Wrapped up the day on another trail ride that lasted around an hour. They gave all attendees a ‘Trail of Honor’ badge.
