Jeep just informed me that Billet Silver will stop being available!
Production of my Diesel order is scheduled for September so this may be MY2022.
They informed me that if I don't change color the order will be cancelled with no further explanation given!
What should I do?
Ask for a discount in order to change color or wait for the MY2022 colors to be released?
Always loved the old Jeep Wrangler YJ Sahara colors!! next choice is white......

Yeah another member said something similar about that color last week. I think Jeep (obviously) knows a lot more than they are telling us regarding MY 2022. There hasn't been a new order guide since April, and the rumor is that 2022 should drop any day/week now.

New colors we know of are Earl (limestoney gray) and Gecko (lime green). Anything else is speculation, and even then we don't know when these two would be released.

I am going to keep patiently waiting on 2022.

I thought Gecko was supposed to be a MY21 color, and it was just not happening due to external circumstances. I'm pretty sure Billet Silver wasn't one of the special colors; Mark Allen called it part of the "vinyl siding collection" or something along those lines (referring to all the different shades of gray). If that's being phased out, I think it's likely indicative of the final run of MY21. It may be that we start seeing similar phase outs over the coming weeks. Black and white won't be phased out as perennial colors...

I would finish that sentence with a breakdown of the colors likely to stick around, but I can't get the BMO site to load... Could be my third world internet connection... Probably my third world internet connection.

When I ordered my Mojave in February this year I was really pissed off they dropped the desert tan color (Gobi) and I ended up with Billet Silver. If they bring back Gobi I'll scream!

IDK if Gecko is 'cancelled' by any means, but may just get pushed?

And I agree RE Billet Silver - it has been offered on the lineup since 2013. Seems odd to just drop it, but maybe they are just changing up the silver formulation a bit.

I know how you feel .. I told myself if Sarge popped up Im all in ... Then Jeep finally offered SARGE on the JT and I I never looked back .. My hopes are that Jeep offers a color you like better than the 2 you had in mind

Billet Silver is not being cancelled. I'm not sure why you were told that. That color will be available for all model years until the end of the production of the JL, and probably into the next. My guess is the cancellation for the color was temporary. If they really do cancel (perm), that would be a major change from what Jeep (and all of FCA) has done consistently throughout the model years.

That's gotta be the explanation. There are a ton of Jeep vehicles, not just Wrangler/Gladiators in this color, as well as Rams and Dodges and everything else.

I'm reading the same thing over on the JL Wrangler forum. Two reports, both from Canada. Begins with post 1420.

Jeep has (and does) change their color codes. The only color that Iā€™m aware of that hasnā€™t changed in ages is black - even white is altered every few years.

I see no reason there couldnā€™t be a slightly different silver for the ā€˜22 MY.

You only have two choices, change color or have the order cancelled.

What color options did they give you to choose from?

There will be no concessions from them for the inconvenience. Maybe from the dealer, but not from Jeep.
