For anyone who is wondering, just swapped in a Magnaflow tonight and weighed the factory exhaust... it's roughly 47 lbs from the y-pipe joint backwards.

And apologies for the god-awful title, I couldn't find this when I looked prior to ordering the replacement and I'm trying to hit all the search engine terms.

What's the weight of the new system? And what are the advantages? Does the noise level go up?

40lbs exactly in the box and the packaging was 6lbs so that's a fair bit saved. Noise at cruise is noticeable to me but not that loud... my wife caught on much sooner than I expected her to. Mostly it's louder at cold startup and under load but I'm very happy with the noise.

For me the benefits were cutting a bit of weight, getting the exhaust higher up, and a little extra noise without being annoying. Haven't had her out too much but I'm pretty happy thus far.
