The only con in my experience is the risk of an incompetent tech over tightening or stripping your drain pan/ oil filter or an such havoc that will happen since they may not give two shit about you or your vehicle. Ive came behind them too many times to find terrible workmanship. I do my oil changes and rotations myself. Jeep wave is a very cool gesture though.

I literally walked out of one job because of the incompetence I saw - even with the service manager. A family with brake problems..... the boss wanted certain things done and I said that is not going to fix it, they'll have no brakes by the time we close. He insisted, I said no, and walked out the overhead doors to my truck, backed up and loaded my tools and never looked back, never went back. It was that on top of what I saw others do with front end alignments and brakes among other things just plain stupid or dangerous.
I am OCD, some friends call me anal about my restoration work and I can't handle working alongside anyone else who doesn't hold to the same standards. I guess it meant I moved around a bit - but it also got me a following at one shop where people came in and asked for me by name - drove the service manager nuts as he was having to assign so much to me and not so much to the others.
I know I will point out a couple of things that should have been taken care of in "dealer prep". I'll be nice but I'll also suggest to them that others may notice the same little things left undone or done incorrectly on something that's so very simple as prepping a new vehicle.
I'm too busy to bother with trivial things these days like oil changes and tire rotations - I'm several months behind on work in my shop - and since the oil changes are free, let 'em do it but know I'll be checking things out like wheel nut torque, oil drain plug, drips and leaks and so on. My Chevy came back to me perfect every time - this had better, too. And since it's a Jeep thing - I can go to any dealer if they don't do a good job.
