Creating a thread here to document the life of my 2021 Gladiator Mojave, including modifications and any interesting adventures we take together.

I custom ordered the Jeep on April 2nd, it was built on the 13th, delivered to the dealership on the 26th, and I drove down (from Boise to Salt Lake City) and traded my 2020 Ram 2500 for it on May 8th.

Like most Jeeps this one will spend the majority of its time on pavement. I've owned several Wrangler Rubicons in the past and with my rock crawling days behind me I figured the Mojave would be better suited to the higher-speed washboard trails I tend to prefer these days. As such, my build will mostly be aimed towards keeping things light so the stock suspension can do its thing. There may be some mild towing in the future and perhaps a roof top tent that is only installed when necessary (and might get backed up with some air bags).

This past weekend we finally had some time to do a bit of exploring and see what the Mojave could do. We rove from Boise out to the Jordan Valley area of Oregon, down Leslie Gulch to Lake Owyhee, and then back out and up Succor Creek Road.

The scenery was absolutely stunning, with constantly changing geography. I wish I'd taken more pictures.

Most of the roads were very washboarded and full of potholes. I found myself doing 50-60mph through sections that would have had me down to 30 in the Ram 2500 I traded for the JT, and probably 20-25 in my 2016 JK Rubicon Hard Rock, for fear of back injury, breaking something, or in the JK just the inability to keep it pointed the direction I wanted on the washboard. The faster we went the smoother it got. I was aiming directly for potholes and aside from muted thumps you couldn't even tell we were hitting them. This suspension is magic carpet levels of amazing.

Side note: The RokBloks definitely helped keep the gravel from pinging the sides as much, but they didn't keep quite enough mud off. I may need to switch to a wider rail.

Any chance you could post up some side shots? I am considering the falken 35s and would like to see how she stands.

Did you ever get the hide-a-steps on it? If so did you go front and back and got pictures?

Rokblokz in front on mine and just added max tow springs with airlift 1000 airbags. I’m looking forward to adding an rsi smartcap and rtt.
After adding springs and bags it instantly started to act more like a truck, but a polite truck.
love my Mojave!
