This is a small run, open to any make/model 4WD vehicle with 538 interested and maybe 59 in actual attendance taking place in the middle of January. The location will be Joshua Tree - Berdoo Canyon Road - crossing the park and exiting along Old Dale Road and Gold Crown Road.

Trail Level Difficulty: EASY
There are 2 or 3 quick bypass sections that will test your clearance and locking differentials, but this is a trail run for anyone with a Gladiator. You will likely want to air your tires down for better comfort. Your neck/spine/internal organs will thank you!

Agenda:
We will meet at Love's Travel Stop - 45-761 Dillon Rd, I-10 Exit 146, Coachella, California 92236
Please be ready to go with a full tank of gas and food/water for a full day out on the trail. We will head out at 10:00 am!
Our run will end along Hwy 62 at around 5:00 p.m.

About:
I have been leading this run since 2000 - first with my Ford Ranger, then with my sparkling new 2003 TJ Rubicon. Now, with my Gladiator. A few Gladiator owners will be present, so this will be a chance to visit with a few Gladiator owners on the trail.

Camping:
Although it will be a little chilly at night, that's not going to stop some of the Gladiator owners from camping along the trail. Be sure to pack an extra blanket in that roof top tent!

Our group size:
If we pull a large number of vehicles, we will stagger each group of 10-15 about 15 minutes apart.

Behavior: Please no alcohol at this run. Only water, coffee, soda, G2 Gatorade for hydration. If you gotta have a drink, this run isn't for you.

Dogs: Please no aggressive (pointy-eared) dogs on this run (Pits, Rotts, Pinchers, German Shepards etc.) - Leave your guard dog at home, please.

Facilities: There is no food or water available in the park. One pit toilet is located inside of the park at the top of Berdoo/Geology Tour Road. Bring medicine if you or your passengers tend to get car sick (yes, it has happened on this run). Bring enough food and water to last you and your passengers two full days. Bring a camp chair to sit on for lunch. We may have to break into small groups if our group reaches 600 vehicles.

Communication: We will discuss radio frequencies and types at the drivers meeting - 9:50 a.m. the day of the run. Just bring what you have and we will take a count of how many drivers is utilizing the array of technologies they are bringing on this run.

First Aid: Please make sure to pack your first aid kit.

Is this an overnight run or a one-day? My daughter is begging me to take her out in the Gladiator. Would be a push from Ventura, but we could make it.

This far, this will be a one day run. If you and @willemlock are interested in a day #2, we can plan a Gladiator run for the second day!
I will be closing the run info down in one day, as this weekend run has attracted more interest than I had expected, but this is only to block new people from adding on.

I deleted all information from Facebook page. I will keep information posted here due to 4WD-oriented nature of this forum. Some people were cross-posting the run on pages unrelated to responsible 4WD trail use. I'm expecting about about 30 vehicles.

What facebook page am I missing? I didn't see this anywhere else. Clueless, I guess.

My run information made it on the, "What's going on in Morongo Valley" Facebook page. That's crazy! I deleted the event after some 530 people marked, "interested". Like it's some big party or something.

Is everything still on for Saturday? Me and my wife would like to attend.
Yes! We will have 3 or 4 Gladiators in attendance as well! Quinn from All J Products an AEV Distributor is planning to attend! This will be a fun run with lots of scenic sections and a few hair raising off shoots. This is a legendary overlanding trail, so the difficulty level is very low, overall.

What a fun day it was!

We met up at Love's Travel Center in Coachella, CA

An XJ Cherokee blew its radiator hose. Without a spare on hand, @willemlock positioned the XJ in line behind my Gladiator, and I towed the Cherokee up Berdoo Road.

After the two troubled XJs and 1/2 of the group headed back for their homes, our core group continued onward for a night run across the desert!
