I like my JScan app, but it's all I've used. Inexpensive and easy interface.

I have used JScan for quite some time with great success. However, if I could do it over again, I’d go with AlphaOBD. Reason being, we are a multiple jeep household and I’m on my third different Jeep since 2019. Each Jeep requires a license purchase with JScan. Alpha only requires a one time purchase and you can use it on multiple vehicles.

So basically, if it’s just you and one Jeep you plan on keeping for a long time, I’d recommend JScan. If there’s more than one or you rotate through Jeeps like socks, I’d suggest Alpha.

Jscan was my first and favorite. I use it for all things diagnostic. Back in 2023 I bought a tazer, mostly for the live features, and since it is always connected, I use it for the more basic things like tire size and as a code reader.

What do you plan to use it for? That is where the differences lie.

JScan because the changes it can make stay programmed, like the hood alarm, change tire size, change TPMS setting, etc..

TAZER can do some of the same functions, as JScan, but you lose them if you unmarry the tazer when you take the vehicle into the dealer.

I use TAZER for live functions only, like kill3honk and disable the auto stop/start.
For the live functions to work, the tazer must remain hooked up.

I use JSCAN to set most of the settings and the TAZER for other functions that the JSCAN can't do.

They all have strengths and weaknesses. The big question is what you’re looking to do with it. If you can’t give that information, this poll is pretty much useless.
