I noticed that, based on my seat position, that with the back window so flat, the REFLECTION of the 8.4:" display is really bright and takes up most of the middle of my rear view mirror! I've never had a flat-back window vehicle before, so it just struck me as strange! I just turned down the dash lights, but can still see it.

Can't say I've noticed it on mine. Maybe I'm just used to it because I do remember it being a problem on the Canyon

Now, just imagine its a soft top back window, and the whole reflection dances around....

Yeah, same thing on my 7.0" Uconnect. It was slightly annoying, but I find that I have to turn down the brightness of everything on my dash regardless, so it's not really an issue.

I personally enjoy a gentle glow from my dashboard. It sets the mood:like:

Not to mention a bright dashboard beats up your night vision needed for the crappy OEM halogen headlights.

Never noticed that, but then again, I don't use the rear view mirror too much.

I must be too short or something. I use the mirror fairly regular and have never noticed it. I have the 8.4 and sometimes run it bright instead of dimmed for night use. Advantage of not being over 5'8"??
