Love the appearance.

But this. THIS is why I don’t run light bars

the glare from the hood washes out any benefit you get from them.

I do have lights along the front of my roof rack. But intentionally mounted the rack back far enough to cast a shadow on the hood for just this reason

The Glare is real!!

Back in the 80's KC used to have those plastic blinders for their halogen lights that you could snap on the bottom of the lights to keep the hood glare down to a minimum. That was back before LED's so I dunno if they still even make those anymore. But might be worth researching.

The Oracle guy at SEMA that was trying to sell me on their light bars told me their new LED lights have more control over the shape of the beam and are "supposed" to not create glare. But I'm hesitant to believe him. After running an LED windshield bar on my JK years ago I swore I'd never do another.

Even though I still think they LOOK cool AF mounted on a vehicle.

The image below shows the directed beam that throws light 600 meters down trail. The pattern is directed above the hood. This reflector system is designed to provide optimized LED light output from the 30 individual 8W LED emitters creating at total of 18,000 raw lumens and a projection distance of over 600 meters.

The Glare is real!!

On a grander scale, you may be able to do what I did.
This was a huge help. No glare on hood. My goal is to eventually have them made out of aluminum. They are now mounted with black pipe clamps. They work great and too many other projects, so the plastic has held up for about 2 years.
