good choice. i work for michelin and have talked to people that helped design that tire and it is considered one of michelins top tier tires. it gets the best components and compounds. i will also put km3 tires on my gladiator.

Would you ask them to make a 39x12.5R17?

The extra inch will require me to spend more money on wheels and other stuff.

unfortunately i don’t have that kind of pull. just a regular worker at the tire factory. i also worked with a technician that was responsible for designing the new sidewall lugs for the ko2 all terrain that was launched about 5 years ago.

i keep going back adn forth about 39's. I like the spare tire under the bed and I can't bring myself to spend 2000+ for a rear bumper with a tire carrier

I have 35” KM3’s on mine and they completely suck on wet roads. Wish they were siped! Like driving on ice……

I've heard that before I've also heard the complete opposite that say they're actually pretty decent. Living in Florida we get a lot of water, so I'll see how they do here.

i have used all the bfg tires all terrain original, and k02 mud terrain original and km2 and km3 aswell as the trophy truck race spec baja ta kr tires which were $800 a tire retail but i get them for free or really cheap it just depends. if road traction is top priority but you still want to trail ride in dry areas the k02 all terrain is best but is poor in mud. the km3 will definitely spin on wet pavement easier if you floor it than other tires. but my experience has never been like driving on ice. the km3 is an incredible tire on the trails on the east coast were its wet. they can climb steep dirt hills with ease and have great off road traction

Just got the last set on Amazon. Thanks.. I’ve been looking at a few different tires for 6months+, Nitto 38’s and BFG 39’s both AT and MT. And even Nitto 40’s but at 105lbs that’s out of the question on Dana 44’s. Looks like tire prices are going up fast too, if you can find them..

I got 38" milestars from my local americas tire that were in-stock after being unable to find anything in stock larger than a 37. I would prefer a KO2 in 39" but doubt it will measure the full 39" loaded.....Knowing bfg it will be a 37.5" tire :(

Anyone measure the 39" KM3?

No tire measures their full size loaded. BFG KO2 unloaded is 38.5, my km3 seem to be maybe couple tenths taller since the tread on km3's are thicker. Depending on rim width, air pressure, sidewall squishiness (bfgs are typically soft) you can expect to lose .5 to a full inch i've found. Honestly if the 39 (38.5) measures out to anything over 37.5 its probably doing well considering its a C rated so the sidewalls are more compliant.

the milestars are a crowned tire so the middle sticks up a bit but I measure almost 38" like 38" 7/8" with a ruler on it at 34psi. My KM2's were around 33.5" for a 35" :|
