Quick technical question for the group. I have a 2022 Altitude (pictured below.) I've read all over that 35" tires fit pretty much all models. I'm not even trying to go that big - I know Mojave and Rubicon have 285 70R17 so I went with that size to be safe. I didn't go into this blind - I did some research beforehand and I think I'm gonna be OK without spacers. My size equates to (roughly) 33x11.5/17. (Actually a touch smaller, if we're splitting hairs. 32.7x11.2/17.)

I'm going rounds with the manager at Discount Tire about installing them. Is there ANY reason anyone knows of that LT285 70R17 shouldn't fit my stock setup, including the wheels? The wheels are 17"x7.5" which is the same as the Rubicon stock rims. I know the Rubicon axles are slightly bigger - is it that much of a difference?

They will easily fit. Thats only like half an inch larger than your stock tires. My Overland came with those tires. They measure 32.2”. You could go larger. I have 285/70/18s on my stock 18” overland wheels. Try a different store. I bought mine at Discount Tire.

Edit: that’s with my stock overland suspension, before I put on my Rubicon LE springs.

Nice! So, I'm assuming we have the same axles - not like the Rubicon/max tow. No rubbing or anything? (Prior to the suspension work you did, of course. My suspension is bone stock.)

They will fit fine i ran a 35x12.5r17 on my 2020 sport s max tow and it didnt rub at all on road or offroad unless you disconnected the front sway bar.

I reccomend going with the 35" actually because its really a 34" and a 33 is really a 32" in BFG sizes.

Thanks - I understand max tow axles are a bit longer though. Hoping it works out.

I have a 2022 altitude also. I put 285 70 17, ko 2's on the stock rims and it's been perfect, no rubbing or any other concerns. Also mine does not have the max tow option. And discount tire put them on.

They are so you might get a tiny bit of rubbing when turned but you can actually adjust your steering stops if youd like. Easy to do [Banned Site] has a video on it.

@Discount Tire I wouldn't say it's an issue, per se, but I do appreciate reaching out! If it's not doable due to policy then I understand completely. Look forward to your PM.

So, just to clear things up, @Discount Tire messaged me and I'm quite certain everything will go smoothly. Also, the manager never said he WOULDN'T do it, he just wouldn't confirm. My question was to gain information IN CASE I had push back. Mission accomplished - and thanks to everyone who responded.
