OK, so I had some extra time on my hands this week. I kept the original wood crate my Mopar lift shipped in for my old JLUR a couple of years ago. I thought it was kind of cool, so I hated to just throw it in the dump. At first, I thought about maybe staining it and using it as a table in my office, but I don't really have a place for it. So I thought instead that it would make a decent storage bin in my garage. I put some casters on the bottom, and hinges and handles on the lid. I can roll it around the garage as a small mobile workbench, or I just store my plentiful crap in it.

I'm no carpenter, so it's definitely no work of art.

Original crate:

Finished project:

I would think so, but I never searched. My wife asked me if I had seen an idea for this online somewhere. For once in my life , I got to tell her I did something all by myself. :CWL: For all I know, there could be an entire site dedicated to this. I figured it was random info to post, so what better thread than this?
