Modern generations should be broken down by the following:

Born before telephones
Born before TV
Born before color TV
Born before ESPN/MTV
Born before Internet
Born before the iPhone
Born before space travel
Born before the zombie apocalypse.

*massive adoption/acceptance, not at point of invention

I guess being born in 85’ my life was uneventful for the first 22 years? Interesting. Lol you have a 4 year gap in the middle and then span 24 years.

Nothing of the sort. The divisions, while obviously tongue-in-cheek (especially the last ones), depict more how technology has divided people in their life experience.

I was born in '76, so I'm before ESPN/MTV. I grew up as cable grew. So I remember the days before remotes, and turning knobs and dialing in antennas.

Here's a funny thing - B&W TVs were still sold after color TVs came out. I don't know when B&W sets were finally stopped, but I know you could buy them in the 80s.

Kids today see billionaires flying in space, whereas I witnessed space agency tragedy twice, and the eventual dismantling of NASA.

It's a pretty accurate division. If you want to add a few more, maybe throw in airplanes and air conditioning. I remember stories about traveling internationally by boat and cannot imagine living in some places without at least a window unit. Plenty of people recall buying ice blocks I'm sure.

Ok youngsters. Who had a 5 digit phone number growing up and had a tv that only got 3 channels that were black and white?
I had the full 7 digits. But our TV only got two channels and was black and white. We also had a party line on the phone.
Much like this thread!
Anyone dial popcorn as a kid?

You magnificent SOB.

How's that JD #27? I've been tempted to try it.

I'm a barely-warmed-up-and-I'm-there drive from the Woodinville Whiskey joint. I don't see any Angel's Envy or Basil Hayden in your stores.
