Just found my RR axle leaking on the '21 Rubi. Only 360 miles on it. Dealer is so backed up they can't even get me into look at for 2 weeks...

So far the earliest 2021 JT build with leak in this thread is 10-16-2020 the latest is 02-10-2021. My 2021 truck isn't leaking(yet!?) and it's a 9-06-2020 build.
So now we are at 2021 builds from 10-12-2020 thru 2-21-2021 for the passenger rear seal leak.

Edit: To correct date per post below.

As I noted on post #74 of this thread, my Mojave built on 2/21/21 had this leak.

What is the MDH#(sticker inside driver door frame M=month, D=day, H=hour ) of your truck?

I do find it interesting that all the failures in this thread are from trucks built inside that 4 month window.

(That MDH sticker)+(this forum) can easily figure out which trucks have the issue,....probably faster than the manufacturer. I'm hoping my 2021 isn't involved(mine is an early 9th month build).

Late to this thread .... but here's what I know:

My Gladiator is a 2020 Rubi. Took delivery Jan. 2020.

In Dec 2020, I started hearing a 'popping'-type sound somewhere on the underside on the rear driver's side when backing up and turning, or sometimes when driving over uneven ground or pavement. It didn't happen during 'straight-line' driving, such as when on the freeway.

Finally got it into the dealer in Feb. The tech thought a 'defective axle' was causing the popping sound but also found the axle seals leaking. He replaced them under warranty.

Still heard popping sounds after getting it home, so I returned it to the dealer a few weeks later. They replaced the sway bar bolts that time, I believe.

Still had the popping noise happening after they returned it.

Wasn't able to take it back again until earlier this month. They kept my truck for a week, gave me a loaner. The tech said he finally isolated the noise to the control arm and replaced it under warranty.

So far so good. No popping noise.

Third time's a charm, I guess.

Just what I know.

I just found the same issue on my 21 Max Tow. I'm taking it in to the dealer tomorrow.
I took it in today and the dealer said they'll have to replace the axle. Thankfully, they were able to get 1 out of only 3 left in town otherwise they are on backorder. I should be back on the road tomorrow.

Well, I’m at 6 weeks now waiting for a LF axle M210 Dana series. The axle shaft finally showed up yesterday. Now, the install kit that goes with the axle was missing. Supposedly it is in transit. This is looking like a 2 month down for a fucking axle shaft. I don’t care what supply chain issues people claim, that is just absurd especially when the factories are producing vehicles that can’t be sold due to computer chip supply issues.

Well, looks like my 2021 overland is part of this prestigious club. 2600 miles, I’ll shoot over my production date in the morning. I’m regeared to 4.88 with red arb Diff covers so I won’t be able to hide the regear. We’ll see how this goes at the dealer.

Well it has been a few weeks since I picked it up from the repair and there are signs of fluid seepage again. Ugghh. Tbd if it is leaking again or just more residual oil from the first leak since the tech was too lazy to clean up the area during the repair and I had to do it once I got it home. Fingers crossed it is just more residual seepage from up behind the dust cover on the hub/rotor side where I can't reach with a rag. Really sad that a "trained tech" can't even be bothered to spend 1 minute cleaning up the area of a repair after a leak. No pride in their work, and not a single f was given. Just slap the parts on and mark it done. .....and people wonder why there is no way in hell I will take it in for the "free" jeep wave oil changes.

Mine had, or has the same thing going on. Definitely not leaking like it was but there was some seepage. I cleaned it up and going to keep an eye on it. I haven't decided yet if it's still got a problem or just crappy workmanship. If it starts dripping again it's going back to the dealer.

I'm with ya on the Jeep Wave oil changes. No thanks.
