I have a Rubicon model and want to swap the front leather seat covers out for cloth, are the seats and foam the same or what do I need to look out for? I pulled the back seats out for a platform so I am not worried about that....thanks!

Seat covers should be the same as long as you replace with Rubicon specific cloth covers.

The sport seats use different foam (and potentially shaped a bit different). Mojave seats also have more side bolstering.

Hopefully someone can chime in that's done fabric to leather to confirm.

As @JRobes said, using a seat cover is probably the cheapest, fastest, and best solution for what you’re wanting to do. That will also keep the leather intact in case you either change your mind or sell the truck.

I was actually talking about doing a true seat cover swap (not putting a cover over the OEM seat cover).

My bad. In that case I’d suggest just doing a seat cover rather than a swap. Or find a used set of fabric seats to drop in rather than tearing off the leather to put on fabric. YMMV.

That works great until you want to get a different car.

Not looking to trade or sell my leather seats just want to change out covers if at all possible. Thanks for the feedback!

I would do the work myself so not too worried about the install just getting the right factory seat cover.

I would get a hold of the company's that make the seat covers and ask them if they make a REPLACEMENT to your specs .
