Is there any issue with leaving the door bolts off for the whole summer?

On my YJs once I took the nuts off, I lost them forever.

Put them in the handy storage bin and avoid losing them. The only reason you might put them on is to increase the time it takes some dirt bag thief to remove them. Other than that, no real reason.

I added some of the guide pins to make it easier to line up when putting the doors back on and to also protect the thread on the door bolts but other than that they stay off

+1 to the guide pins. They have made reattaching them so much easier. Never put back in the original bolts.

I do reattached the door stop thing though. I plan on coating it with some liquid rubber though since it likes to scratch the paint.

Just these silver pins that go over the screw portion of the door hinge. These are stainless steel and look nice in my opinion

Looks good, what size, and where did you buy them?

I put the guide pins on, as well. I’ve had easier doors to steal on previous Jeeps and guess I’ve been lucky.

As far as the logic tree on the Gladiator doors works, the doors come off every chance I get. If the doors are on, they’re getting locked 99.9% of the time, anyway. Any situation that warrants leaving the doors unlocked would suggest the doors aren’t going anywhere.

I never put the bolts back on in either the TJ or JK...plan to do the same first time I take doors off in the JT.

I took them out day 1 and never put them back in. Same with the door stopper plunger thing.
I hadn't thought of not attaching the "door stopper plunger". Did you remove it somehow, or just push it all the way in? No problems with it this way? With that not in play, it makes the door removal tool-less and much quicker. Very interested.

For the sake of the thread - I took my door bolts off on day one and have not seen them since.

I just pushed it into the door and left it there. No issues...acts like all the previous jeeps without it and makes door removal easy.
