Light off-roading in central/Southern IL

I’m in Charleston Illinois and looking to take my Jeep for some fun nothing crazy so I didn’t know if anyone had any fun areas to go within hourish distance. I just saw badlands in Indiana that’s about two hours from me.

Badlands ATTICA,INDIANA been there a few times.
Mild to wild - rocks, sand, creek crossing , mud
Will be there 11/20 I usually hang out in the quarry -playing on rocks

Sounds like a plan ,we havent been there after a snow but we plan on going this year.

Badlands has a lot of fun options for light off roading. A friend and I went there and spent about 5.5-6hrs playing around there. He was in a stock 4Runner with hwy tires and still had a blast doing the hill climbs and sand dunes.

It was a 4.5 hr drive for me, and was well worth it.
