Out of curiosity, where did you source your bolts? I was looking at McMaster, but I don't think they have anything with long enough threads.Never-seez or equivalent is intended for high temperature environments like exhaust manifolds. I use a viscous high pressure chassis grease (LE 3752) elsewhere. The factory body mount bolts are grade 10.9 which is equal to US grade 8. Metric 8.8 is weaker than grade 5. Grade 12,9 is like grade 9 and mostly found with socket head cap screws ("allen head"). The factory bolts have longer than standard threaded portions so you need to pick replacements that are long enough but won't run out of threads before they are tight. With my Rock Hard sliders (they have 3/8 inch thick mounting brackets to the body bolts), and their 0.19" thick washer, I added a thin 0.1" grade 9 washer in 7/16" with the inside reamed out enough without being a loose fit, and chamfered to match the root of the bolt heads. I found the perfect lengths of the M12x1.75 bolts to be 100 mm front, 110 center, and 220 mm rear.
Thanks. What finish did you go with? I'm looking at the blue dyed zinc plated, but that doesn't seem to be available for the 220mm, only the black oxide.I got them from McMaster and the threads are the needed length if you use the lengths I noted above. The only complication is modifying 7/16" washers to get a snug fit on the bolt shanks. You could just use M12 washers if you want. The holes in the .19" thick washers from Rock Hard are larger than I prefer; that is why I added the thin washers.
