Went on an evening run to Lost Trail outside of Melba ID with @HiCentered. We had to take our JT's out for some fun.

First 2 pics were meant to show the clearance difference between stock bumper on my JT (red) & His JTR (Gray). It was hard to get a pic showing just how big of a difference his High Clearance bumper made since my JT sits considerably higher. He probably gained 10+ inch's back there.

This shows the difference in height. His Gray JTR has 3.5" metalcloak springs & is sitting on 37's. My Red JT is on the @Clayton Off Road 2.5" & sitting on 35's. Its not just the angle.. I was sitting at least 2" higher when he should have been given taller lift (at least on paper) & taller tires.

A little later on another obstacle.

Pictures of my Motobilt skidplate after we got back to flat ground. This was all freshly powdercoated so its all from tonight.

And simply because its a thing my girlfriend made me pull over to take this picture on the way home.

Looks like an amazing time! Thanks for sharing! Crazy how much scraping you did on that skid plate!

The skidplate's did there job well. Most of that was from one obstacle I hadn't been on before. HiCentered knew better & used the easy route. I ended up having to as well, but I definitely tried. Lockers or 37's & I would of probably made it. Was damn close, but I couldn't quite pull myself over the last little bit as I kept loosing traction.

What PSI were you guys running? Yours looks lower just from a couple photos, but it could have just been the angle.

I ordered some Clayton rear springs. I can't believe the difference between the two.
Great trip. We gotta do it again.

P.s. if your skid plates come up missing it wasn't me

So what's the story on the height different? Was he just super heavy?

He had more weight in the back then I did... but he wasnt loaded down crazy or anything. I think it just has to do with the difference in springs.

@HiCentered , do you get any deflection of those Rubi rails landing on them? Would you recommend rocker armor to beef up the lower cab?

i miss being on Southern Idaho for the off-roading. We’d go out to the BLM land just north of the canyon in Twin Falls. There was a great trail on the ridge of the mountain between Albion, and Malta.

Thanks for sharing. Looks awesome. Nice protection from the skids. I’m planning on the Clayton 2.5”. How you liking it?
