I have the AEV Salta wheel and a set of splined lug nuts that don’t quite look right. The picture kind of shows the exposed shiny metal around the lug nut making me wonder if the nuts are wide enough at the base. Is this ok? What is the best lug nut for this wheel? Don’t need locking

I think it depends on the proper seat on the rim. Those look like they may be conical lug nuts in a different seat but some wheel companies seem to do some interesting machining to make rims fit multiple vehicles but I'm no wheel expert and I am learning about wheel choices to buy my own.:)

AEV indicates they are designed to use the OEM Gladiator Wheels which I believe are tapered seat as well.

AEV wheels are designed to be used with OEM style lug nuts. I reused mine and bought some black silicon covers for them.
