Manual Transmission Gladiator 2nd Gear Issues?

Hi everyone,

I’ve been on the hunt for a 6 speed manual Gladiator. I test drove one recently, which had issues with 2nd gear popping out at low speeds. The dealer I went to is actually replacing the transmission before anyone purchases this specific gladiator. I see that many other owners have run into this issue, but I am curious if this issue has been resolved at all with newer transmissions, or if that issue will reoccur in the future. Just looking for some insight and opinions on this before I purchase. Thank you.

I'm at 30k (2021) no issues like that before or after the clutch assembly recall, and I haven't really heard much about that problem. I wouldn't let it deter you if the dealer is going to replace the entire transmission

2020 with about 30K. Never had that issue with mine.

My 2020 started doing that at 45K. Replaced under warranty.

I've not had that at all, and have not had the clutch recall done, either.

First i have ever heard of this problem. No problems with mine.

I got the dual friction - the heavier duty version. It definitely is heavier, more truck like. The other one is supposed to the same as stock feel.

2022 sport. 29500 miles. Replaced recall clutch. Never heard or experienced poping out of gear.
