I'll second that as I recently ran across them watching other Jeep and off road related videos and MAN do they ever get into it. You know if the angles look bad on video they're positively terrifying in real life!
Wife and I are hooked on his videos as well. I think he was a roofer and bought the wrecker business. Pretty much a snatch and go method, not always with safety foremost. I've tried to find his average charge, but no luck. I bet it's not cheap.
They certainly get the job done and are entertaining, but from a professional's standpoint, not so professional.
Pretty much the cheapest recovery gear thats not always functional in the videos (imagine what's not shown on video), questionable methods, and marginal equipment.
That said, towing isn't a super profitable business in our area due to the race to the bottom. Can't always have the newest, shinyest, best stuff without turning a good profit.
On vacation went through Hurricane so stopped by on a Sunday. The gate was unlocked so slipped in and met Ed. He was gracious and posed beside the MORRvair. Also got a shot with the Bandana. Bummed the swag shop was closed, as was wanting a hat.
I love watching his videos! It's always interesting and I can say I have learned a few things. He may not always do things with proper safety in mind but when has that ever been fun!
