Starting this thread documenting my build on my new to me ‘21 Mojave. Nothing ground breaking just looking for a vehicle I can take off-road with my family and self recover to a reasonable extent. Also, less orange.

First round of mods, this will be the foundation of my plans for the vehicle with some additions to come as able over the coming months. Plan is to use my current tent camp setup when we go, hope to upgrade that setup eventually.

I got the armorlite flooring in yesterday. It took about 4 hours with kid interruptions, install video was very helpful. Ran into the same issue as other forum members with the B-pillar trim not going to go back in flush without some further trimming. So far I am liking it, wouldn’t care to do the install again any time soon.

I also got the 37” KM3 tires mounted today. Still on the stock suspension, no spacers. Haven’t done much but cruise around town but I have to say these tires ride well for a mud terrain. Took a decent amount of weight to balance them but they are riding better than expected so far.

Sold the take off tires and started the bumper/winch/ lightbar install

Swing and a miss on the bumper install. Missing some brackets on the winch plate so running bumperless until I can get the brackets. Installing the rear blackout gladiator emblem instead

Got the decal on. Gloss inside with matte outside. Emblem is quality, I think the template could have been a little sturdier honestly but I’m pretty terrible at stuff like this and I got it on ok. One little hiccup with the R but you can’t see it unless you are right up on it. Down the line I may do the satin tailgate vinyl accent and redo these letters if I go that route, otherwise happy as it stands

Getting ready to head home in about a week. No major updates. I plan on jumping into the bumper/ winch/install right away to get ready for two trips this time home. The first will be up to the OBX where I will be running some of the driveable beaches and the second to the New River Gorge area and taking advantage of some of the trails in that area. To that end I ordered some additional gear, traction boards, hitch mounted recovery point, Hi-lift Jack.

Want to to give a shout out to Urban Jeep Outfitters. I cracked a letter during the install of my tailgate emblem and reached out to them to ask to purchase an individual replacement. They immediately responded and offered to mail me a replacement for free.

Finally a little forward progress. Got the bumper, lightbar and winch installed today. Had to do a little grinding on one of the brackets to accommodate the reservoir mounts, very minimal. I’m not really happy with how the end caps are sitting and I need to make some small adjustments to the lightbar but happy over all.

Got on the onboard air mounted up with innovative AT air solution and ARB dual compressor. Probably going to finish the wiring tomorrow. Had to trim the armorlite flooring to accommodate it but fairly minimal.

I appear to have Gen 1 RX corners on the AEV bumper. The gap is a little off and the top bolts don’t quite line up. They should be sending me replacement corners here soon but these work for now.

Got my TRE synthetic winch line in today as well. The Warn line had a thimble which was far too large for the Factor 55 Flat Link, could not get it in period. Their provided hook can get on but only swivel to about 35 degrees off the forward end of the thimble, definitely can’t travel freely or shift to the other side. Warn is sending me an Epic hook which they said had increased clearance so should work fine. However, I wanted to run the Flat Link so I ordered this as a replacement and the Warn line with Epic hook can be a spare.

Factorr 55 flat link is a clean way to have the line stored, I was pretty anal about protecting my line from UV rays, so wrapped 3M electrical tape around end of the thimble. your ride looks great, the floor is awesome....Jack

I was thinking along the similar lines, especially as the new line is black instead of a dark gray I assume it will fade up pretty fast. Appreciate the compliment from a fellow Mojave guy
