Below are photos of my 37" Patagonia Milestars.

Photo 1 was when I bought the truck and just put them on (JT had ~500 miles) and photo 2 is now-- around 27,500 miles. I rotated approx every 5k miles. On-road I run them at 36 PSI.

These were great last winter when newer, but I went way up in the mountains yesterday and I wasn't too impressed with their snow and ice performance. Perhaps just let some air out before the next big snow? For real winter use, I am guessing its time to swap, but I was hoping to get at least 30k out of these. The issue is there isn aren't t alot of options in the 37-38" tire with the 3 peak snow symbol. I might go with them again in the 38's. Time will tell.

I would be ecstatic to make it 27,500 of my 30k mile goal! Over the years I've accepted that Offroad tires offer one real draw back, and its the lack of mileage you get from them.

I'm fairly certain ko2 are available in 39s now, those are 3 peak rated and run a little small so the should make your 38" goal

Speed and surfaces - one guy may get 6,000 more miles than another on the exact same tire.

27K isn't great, for for a M/T and one of the cheapest MTs on the market, I'd be satisfied with that.

Can't help you on the winter side, when we get 3" of ice down the whole State of GA goes MaxMax....lol

Ugh! I was hoping to go to pats but now Iā€™m re thinking that. I had MTRā€™s on my Ram 2500 and I got over 50k on those. I traded it for my JTM and they still easily had another 15k left on the tread. Those pats are way past where I take my tread level down to.

Looks like Iā€™ll swap them out. I may have to go with 37s again. I donā€™t really want to go down a size at all and the ko2 37s are small. 38s are out of stock everywhere now. 37s I can get tomorrow.

The 39ā€ ko2 would be great but Iā€™d hate to get them and they not fit my wheel and lift setup. Iā€™m on AEV wheels and they have 5.77ā€ backspacing (+25mm offset). Great for keeping the wheels under the fender though!

Iā€™d love to know if anyone knew the true size of those 39s mounted.

I do not but Iā€™m betting 37.5ā€ true measurement
All my bfgā€™s have ran small

If this is true then they might work. The Patagonia were very true to size and I had a little room to spare.
