Here’s my Parts cost tracking. My goal was not to exceed $2000 for everything I want. Show off your list if you’re sub $2000 as well. Here’s the list: (5) Falken AT 33 inch Tires $866 installed Mopar Rubi Sliders $300 Mopar soft roll up Tonneau $350 Mopar Rubi Bumper $25 Mopar 4 hole halogen Fogs $55 Bedrug Bed/tailgate Mat $206 Bed net $FREE from Chevy dealer JEEP all weather floor mats $FREE from dealer Cargo Tie Downs $25 Wheel locks $30 $1827 UPDATE: Blew the budget! Had to do it for the wheels! Add $590 installed for the set of (4) Quadratec Recon Wheels. New total: $2417 and this thread is now “Mods for under $2500” lol. These wheels do come with $60 in Quadratec Gift Certificates, so once I have those, there’s going to be another freebie on my list!
Hahahahaha. I've got more than 2k in parts waiting in the garage and no Jeep to put them on. My wheels and tires were just under 2k and I consider that an accomplishment.
I used to think the same way.... But then other hobbies and priorities set in, like with many folks on here I’m sure. Hence why I setup a thread for $2000 in mods and under...........
37s aren't cheap. I did the math on one of my builds once and I had about 30k in parts into it by the time I sold it. I think it's a great idea btw if you can get what you want on a budget it's awesome. I'm cheap so I buy on deals and sponsorships where I can. Id be in on this if we can leave lift and tires out.
I don’t believe I’ve ever convinced myself to put $30K in additions on a vehicle. Usually, even $5K in extras, I’ll start envisioning what other toys I could buy or how many vacations I can take. But I have had the bug a couple times with my first couple of Jeeps... Spent probably $5-6K in parts each and then abused them to get my monies worth
It wasn't all at once. Things added up over 7 years of heavy Wheeling. Lots of broken parts included in that number. Couple different lifts I sold the old ones. Which meant new tires each time. Which meant other parts needed reinforced. My vacations were Wheeling all over the United States. Same I'll do with this one.
Im determined to either buy an airplane or a C8 Corvette in the next 3-5 years, so gotta save up that coin happy trials!
Very nice set up for the money two thumbs up . How did you get the Rubi bumper for only 25? Was this a discounted add on at the dealer?
It was gutted. No fog lights or wiring harness and I guess the seller just wanted it gone. Lucked out! It was also the same person that sold me the tonneau and Rock Rails as a package deal
Wheel Locks? Loved the list but did laugh when I got to wheel locks - I know they make them for a reason but have to be a helluva area to need them.
Certain people around here will offer up their entire opinion and sum total of their experiences for no discernible reason. It’s pretty hilarious
Damn, I just missed your limit. I'm under $3000. I totally get the budget build. Family, vacation, retirement......
