Hello! I have a 2021 F150 and I am very very tired of driving a full size pickup every day. I love the Gladiator but my jeep friends and my wife all hate it. I dont get the hate. I want a mojave / rubicon and there are few locally.

Question - anyone come over from full size? I don't tow. I just use the bed for mountain bikes and household stuff. Also, why the hate!??

ha! my best friend has a JK Rubicon and he just keeps saying "its not a truck. its not a jeep. its...not really anything"
You joined 4 years ago before launch, so there was some interest then. Why do you give a crap what others think and try to shape your happiness to their wants and desires? That is like High School teenage girl drama crap there.

Do whatever makes you happy. I sure as shit would not be driving and making a payment on what made other people happy.

Coming from a 2017 Silverado with the full size bed, the only time I really used the whole bed space was for my ATV and I had about one inch of space to fully close the tailgate with it loaded. Obviously with the Gladiator I cannot do that. It’s not a big issue or anything and is easily fixed by just leaving the tailgate down and using the anchor points to secure it, it’s just a convenience thing I’m missing.

My brother has an F-150 and in all honesty that is a better overall vehicle in so many ways. If I was in your case I would just find a nice used TJ for off road toy. The Gladiator fit for me not having any truck and wanting an off road toy. BUT the Ford is a better truck and a TJ a better off road toy and that would likely save you some cash.

That's a great point!

I went from a Ram 2500 to a Mojave. I love wranglers, I love trucks, it’s been the perfect vehicle. I did tow with the Ram but don’t have the trailer anymore so no need for the big truck. I liked my truck, I love my Jeep.

Do what makes you happy! Don’t worry about what others think.

I already have a toy - I have a convertible Camaro SS. I'm not looking for a toy per se. I'm looking for a fun all around vehicle. and frankly the F150 doesnt fit in my new house's garage and its not necessary to drive a full size every day. I do have 2 kids, one 9 and one just about 1. So, thats a concern

I had driven F250s as a daily driver since 2003. Yes the Gladiator is a toy compared to the 250. That said I love my Gladiator. I seldom need the full capacity of the 250, in the last two years I have put 50,000 on the Glad and 2,000 on the 250. They are different tools to do different jobs. Easy to say , I kept my 250 after the low ball trade offered. I have never regreted buying my Glad.

I came from driving RAM 1500, also had GMC Sierra before.. I too was tired of full size truck and kept trading between a Grand Cherokee and full sized trucks.. the Jeep Gladiator Mojave is exactly what i needed to stop my back and forth cycle. Comfortable enough, small enough to park and drive and has enough capabilities to tow and haul what i need.
