I appreciate that you came from a Sport and, therefore, have a basis for comparison. I bought a Mojave and almost immediately switched to 35s and I thought it was totally fine. But had no basis to compare. Only once I switched to 37s did a need to regear become obvious to me.
I also had no basis for comparison until mine went into the shop, and they gave me a brand new Sport as a loaner. I couldn't believe how much "sportier" it was. Oh well. I have 1500 miles on my Mojave now, and I'm getting ready to put 37s on it. I'm sure I'll probably want to regear soon too.

I just bought a 24 Rubicon also and had a ~5 hour drive home with it, and came to the same conclusion on my drive. It does really feel like it’s struggling on any grades, and kicked down to 5th a couple times. Will need to see how it feels in ~2k miles after everything is broken in.

I already intended to regear when I did tires but had hoped to wait a year or two stock. Not so sure about that plan now.
Is there a way to display what gear the AT is in, other than shifting the shifter over to M?

Living in Florida and currently driving my second JT, I have a basis point to compare.

1st JTR with stock 4.10's and 35x10.50x17 Kenda Klevars. At 36K miles I was averaging 17.5 MPG and shift points were smooth and non problematic. I pulled a 4K camper on occasion and it struggled more than I liked.

2nd JTM with stock 4.10's and 37x12.50x17 BFG KO2 Load Range D. At 13K miles I am averaging 18 MPG and shift points feel almost identical to previous JTR. I got rid of the 4K camper so have no more worries in my life on that.

Why can't we order deeper gears like the JL guys can? Jeep?

I went from a 2018 Tacoma automatic on 255's with whatever gearing it had to a Gladiator Overland with 3.73's sitting on 285/75r17, so 34's and it sure felt better than the Tacoma so I had no complaints.. I got into a Colorado ZR2 diesel with 255's, now that is a slow ride! Otherwise it was a sick little truck with the Multimatic stuff. Anyway... Got into a 2022 Mojave, immediately went to 35's and it felt great coming from the baby Duramax. No gear hunting and plenty quick for me. Well when it got stolen I got in to a JLU with the XR package, so factory 4.56's and the E-torque, on 35 inch KO2's, that thing felt like a little rocket, especially off the line with the E-torque, when I got an opportunity to get back into a Mojave I did so and immediately put 37's on it! Now I get occasional gear hunting, holding gears way way too long and it feels incredibly slow compared to the XR Rubi. Am I going to re-gear? Nope, not worth the money to me, basically because I live in Canada and am broke now lol

I'm happy with my 4.10's, but I do live in Florida, so reasonably flat

Also in Flordia. It's an issue. I just need to deal till it annoys me enough to regear.

I need something that won't spend 80% of time in the shop. FORD lost my business in 2014. Their pos will never stain my driveway again.

I was thinking I would keep stock for first 30k. Use the tires up. Now I will see if it remains as is at 3k. Still the same it will be an early regear and tire swap
Rookie numbers, you gotta bump them up. Have mine on 37x13.5s before it hit 300 miles

I wholeheartedly agree on the 4.56 gearing.

I put 35x10.5x17 Kenda Klever R/Ts on 17x8.5” and 0 offset Method 315s (wheels - 27.82 lbs.) the day after I brought home my self-ordered 2022 Mojave.

I have no actual Jeep comparison (first Jeep).

I also run 255/85R17 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss A/Ts on base/OEM wheels (winter).

35K miles and I still have not re-geared and probably will not here in S.E. Michigan.

Jeep Gladiator Mojave should come with 4.56 gears 4.10s dont cut it IMG_3996

@ScottBeach

How many miles on the clock? If it's new new, might want to wait until the PCM has got enough miles on it to know how its going to really act all the time.

@chr15m Just 1100 miles

I don't remember the 2020 being so sluggish at 1k miles
