Asked a dealer for a quote for parts and install of the mopar 2 inch lift and they are quoting me just over 3600$. Does this seem high or am I just being cheap?

That is highway robbery.
You can get the lift on Amazon for 1300 shipped. I installed my own but there is no way I'd pay 1700 for someone to do it.

You can drive to my house in NC and I’ll do it for $2600 (including parts and labor) and let you watch and learn. It’ll take us 4 hours. For $3000 I’ll provide you an adjustable front trackbar which you will want with 2” of lift and beer if you’re old enough

That’s too damn high! Anything from a dealership is anyway... My JKS 3.5 lift (plus front LCAs) AND installation was $1800. My guy bought the parts from his distributor to save $$.

Parts: $1200
Install: $600

You can do much better at a private shop.

That’s crazy high. The lift is 1250.

You know the lift is easy to do? I did mine in 2hrs. It’s literally only 20 nuts.

My local dealer (where I ordered from) quoted me this: 2" Lift Kit Priced at $1,270.75. Labor to Install is $436.13. I don't know if that included alignment.

I haven't pulled the trigger on it yet...fixing up the house first.

I picked up my Mopar lift from Smokey Mountain Parts on Ebay for $975 and a local dealership installed it for about $450. You can definitely get a better price if you shop around.

Agree with others that it is too high. My dealer quoted just under $500 for labor. Parts were $1495.

I haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Leaning towards upgrading on parts a little and just do it myself.

My post was more of a joke than anything. In reality you can piece together a nice kit for around $2500. Install isn’t bad but everyone has their own level of mechanical ability. Some don’t have the necessary tools and it can be intimidating with a Jeep sitting on jack stands. Basically if you’re not comfortable with it, pay someone to do it or get with someone who can teach you. Dropping a Jeep on you while your under it wrenching would be terrible.

You can do much better for a lot less.

Straight axel lifts aren't that bad to install with hand tools, a floor jack, jack stands, and a torque wrench.

Question for the group......Who makes the Mopar lift ? Is it actual Mopar or rebranded stuff from another mfg ?

just curious..

$1200 for that JKS lift is an absolute bargain.
