Is there any gain to doing the 2" Mopar lift on a Rubicon? Are the factory Rubicon shocks the same as what comes in the Mopar lift kit? I hate to spend $1400 and gain nothing.

What are the alternatives to the Mopar 2" lift? I don't want anything bigger than that.

Thanks

No, the shocks, Springs and control arms are different. Here is mine before and after on the same wheels:

Thanks for the info!
Be interesting to know before and after measurements on rubicon, so far from research the mopar lift is same for all models. My stock sport s sat exactly 4" taller after the mopar lift and going from measure 31" tall stock tires to Just under 34" measured tires. Rake maintained about 1 6/8". So if lift supposed to be 2" and tires added 1.5"(can only count half the total tire height) i should be a little less than 3.5" taller than i started but i'm 4". So the mopar lift may actually be 1.5" over the rubicon lift as the rubicon is listed overall height 1" higher than the sport/overlands. And...my stock sport s height was exactly as the specs say 73 1/4" measured (listed at 73.1") Now i sit 77 1/4".

This might be valuable to determine for all the sport/overlanders...the mopar lift is more like 2.5" to us which may be only 1.5" to the rubicons. Just talking outloud here. I ended up higher than expected but the rubi's may end up lower than expected, which i was happy about. ;)

Sport s, 2" mopar, 17x9 wheels, 315 70r17 duratracs (measured just under 34" high) overall height now 77 1/4" Stock on measured 31" tires overall height was 73 1/4". Overall Height Gain - 4" exactly

And maybe that's why they call it a 2" lift?...the average gained height between the two model heights would be 2". Ok i'm done.
