So far running about 30% or a bit more failure rate of those KNOWN to the forum.

My dealer agreed big problem, found it set codes, called Jeep - they started a star case, the star people said never heard of the problem and had no complaints, they suggested dealer contact the parts folks at Jeep and they were basically clueless, too - claiming a non-existent harness in the future will fix it - which is WRONG as that harness isn't for the JT.
Mopar has no clue. Dealers have no idea what's up or how to fix it.

Anyone else note that the pic shown by Northridge 4x4 shows the controller opposite way the instructions show it - but how it actually comes in the box?

Unfortunately I ordered mine online - and am not taking all of the time to take it back out and return it unless that's the only solution. I'm sure I'd have to pay shipping costs, plus the hassle and time in the cold weather here.
I'm waiting for Jeep/Mopar to fix this situation.
I guess if the fix is a whole new unit, then I'll have no choice.
It's covered under warrant along with my truck so I guess no hurry until I must tow!

If you mean the knob, all the pieces are packaged separately.

No, he's referring to the controller mounted on the mounting plate. The printed instructions show it differently than how it arrives in the box (flipped 180 degrees)
