Hey guys, this will serve as the "official" thread for my 2021 Gladiator Willys build. Here I'll be sharing photos and modifications that I am doing to build out my "perfect" Overlanding rig. I hope you'll follow and enjoy!

The very first thing I added was a phone holder and "oh shit" handles.

The next thing I added was a hard Tonneau cover. I'm not planning to keep this long term, so I didn't want to drop a ton of money on it, so I went with the Rough Country hard tri-fold Tonneau cover. So far it's doing it's job.

The next major update was a grill insert and a new bumper. I went with the Barricade Trail Force HD. It's an OK bumper, but it was kind of a pain to install. I will likely keep it for a while and upgrade it later. But it's fully acceptable for the time being.

I'm a licensed ham and GMRS user, so of course I need to have radios. Here are some shots of the install of the Midland 15 watt GMRS trail radio. It is mounted to a JCR Offroad center console molle panel. I'l be meeting up with a friend of mine this weekend to install a Yaesu 6000 50 watt ham radio. I'll install that onto the JCR Offroad overhead molle panel

Watch the temps with that. They look nice but really do block a lot of air, especially going slow offroad. The fan on my JK was running constantly so I took it out.

Thanks for the head's up. I'll keep it on the radar. I recently went wheeling with a pretty large group and several people had them and didn't seem to be having any issues, but I will keep a watch on it.

Spent some time with a friend of mine, who has a bad ass overland rig, this past weekend improving the wring for my ham and gmrs radios. Just got in the last of my parts to hopefully complete the installs this weekend.

My son and I finally completed the Yeasu and Midland radio installs this weekend!

Next stop on the build will like be adding rocker steps and perhaps some pod lights and an switch panel.

So I installed an Auxbeam 8 gang switch panel and wired up my pod lights and light bar this weekend.
