I know this is a far fetched. But I wonder if FCA is intentionally slowing things down just to see what happens on Monday with the Mexico tariffs and if they actually go into effect. This is the longest people have been stuff in D, D1, and BG which really makes very little sense cause those processes typically take a day or two.

The logistics involved in building and shipping these things would make Amazon envious.

Actually. Reading the last few pages of this post is probably the bigger reason behind it. I hope.

Although mine has been stuck in BG which has nothing to do with this. So I’ll probably still have the heat issue and the flimsy fenders :(

If you’re stuck in D. Maybe it’s a good thing.
I went and looked over a JTR parked next to a JLR on my dealer lot yesterday. I could not see a difference in the thickness of the inner fenders. It did seem that there wasn't as many fasteners holding it in place.

I wonder if there are easy points behind it that it can be fastened to.

If not, you might could rivet a brace onto the back side of the inner fender.

Take a look at what happened with the 2018-early 2019 JLs. There were many hold-ups. Some people waited a year to receive their order, some never recieved, some waited 5 months, others recieved within a few weeks. It is normal.

You missed the memo...tariffs cancelled. Next theory.

Yeah but that’s only as of last night. If the lines start moving on Monday again then maybe I’m right. ;)

I mean, at this point, it’s all conjecture. I’m sure they have enough parts that they wouldn’t slow down, and if they don’t have enough parts, we’ll then, I’d be more concerned about them going bankrupt then the tariffs that aren’t coming.

If you look at the tracker they are completing 15-25 of our (550) builds a day right now. I’d say they are cranking.

Sorry you are stuck. I am too. Damn manual.
