Components:
Midland MicroMobile MXT115
MicroMobile MXTA26 6db antenna
Quadratec Quick Disconnect CB Radio Mount
Areyourshop 75WXST CB Radio Mic Mount Holder Passenger Grab Bar for Wrangler JL 2018+
UAYESOK New L-Bracket Vehicle Radio Antenna Roof NMO Mount with Dual Band 144/430MHz NMO Antenna 13ft/4M RG58 Coax Cable UHF PL259 Male for Yaesu Kenwood HYT Icom Mobile Transceiver
I used the M8x1.25 threaded hole on the bed and shot one self tapping screw through. This is the bracket that came with an antenna that I did not use.
I bought it only for the bracket and the wire.
I don't love that the bracket can kind if bounce here, but I'll watch it to check for damage or wear. I could put something between the bracket and then shoot a screw through that if I wanted to poke another hole in my bed.
I ran the antenna wire straight down and along a wiring harness track on the frame rail to the drain hole in the floor. I made a slit through it and added silicone to close the hole up.
I grounded the radio to the ground lug under this kick panel on the passenger's side.
I soldered the positive lead to the AUX4 wire and zip tired the excess.
This is the mic holder I'm sure you've all seen.
This is the radio in its final resting place.
