Need advice on wheel and tire combination

Ok, So I just did my taxes and I'm getting back some "mod" money. I already made my appointment to get the Mopar 2" lift and I want to order wheels and tires (35s). Now, I know nothing of this so I need some help. Currently, I have a stock Rubicon with the wildpeak tires. I want an aggressive tire but without the insane road noise like I hear some others going down the street. Also I like 20" wheels but will that be ok for off road? This truck is my daily driver. I do highway driving during the week and some light off road on some weekends, mostly soft sand on the beach. With that being said, should I go with 17, 18, or 20" wheels and what tire do you guys recommend. Thank you for your input.

One thing to keep in mind is your tire and wheel weights, there a lot of heavy tire and wheel combos out there, also hub centric wheels that do not require anything special to mount to the axle, that will knock your options down a bit.
when wheel shopping look for 5x127 bolt pattern, rim size was determined by my tire choice
for me ended up with 18"s
also sounds like you might be better off with an all terrain
need to check with mopar lift as for proper back spacing so you wont have any rubbing at full lock!

I like 17" wheels personally, but definitely nothing over 18. Less wheel more tire will give you the best grip when off roading and will help keep your wheel from being damaged. You can find some good combos in the 17/18 wheel tire category that will help save on weight as well. As far as tires go, BFG KO2S or Coopers for a A/T are my go to tires. I've never had a BFG let me down and they are quiet on the road and do really well in sand, rain, sleet and snow. They do got in moderate mud as well but not so good I really deep mud, but that's to be expected.

I also like a 17-18” wheel for 33-35” tire and to off-road (17” perfect for 35” IMO) You want more side wall. If you’re looking for more aggressive look but less road noise I’d recommend a R/T (rough terrain/hybrid tire). I have Kenda Klever RT on my Gladiator and they have been great for 7000 miles so far.
I have Cooper SST Pros on my TJR and would definitely recommend but they have gotten louder with tire wear but the noise doesn’t bother me. Many others go with Nittos Ridge Grappers, GY Durotracs.

Definitely get the nitto ridge grapplers in 35s. They don’t make much noise and last a long time

17" offers you the most options and a cheaper price point.

Also, if you want to save some $$ you can get some 35/10.5 tires, Kenda makes them. Will mount up on the Rubicon wheels with no issues.

Hey guys I’m new to the forum I got an 2020 rubicon JT and I’m looking to put 35” tires on it will the stock rims handle them looking at nitto The Ridge Grappler on it but only can find them in 35 12.50r17 and the rims I think are 9” wide any ideas.

There is not enough sidewall in a 20 inch rim when aired down in the snow or sand. Rebel off road is putting 37x21.5 Nitto Grabber and fuel 17 x 9 rim. If you wheel any rocky terrain, most guys dump there 35's and go to 37's.
