My gladiator wouldn't start, took main battery out and had it tested and was told it was bad and got a new one and put it in tonight.

Now I am wondering if I should have gotten a new aux battery too.

Is it possible if one battery is bad it will make the other bad too?

If one goes bad, the drain on the other one can cause it to fail. I would suggest replacing both at the same time.

Should the battery be covered by factory warranty with such a young vehicle?

For piece of mind, I would have gotten the aux battery replaced also.

Our friend had this happen to them. Ended up having to replace both. The dealer tried to tell them that the jeep would not run correctly without mopar batteries at a cost of $900 installed. LOL

Thanks for the replies,

I think I will go ahead and get it replaced, the auto parts store I was at did not have one in stock even if I wanted to get one.

I didn't even try the warranty route, the nearest dealer is far away and the $300 to replace the batteries myself is easier than having to schedule, drop off, pickup and the hassle of it. I ain't got time for that.

Thanks again
