So I need some sliders, currently have my overland steps on still. But now that I’m in the Rockies I need to have legit sliders

someone I met said not to get bolt on ones but to get actual frame mounted ones.

any idea what exactly that means,? Does frame mounted mean welded?

Also, does anyone run their sliders on the top of the rubicon rock rails? I think I’ve seen that somewhere

I strongly recommend NOT attaching to the frame. It is thin and relies on its boxed shape for strength. It is also set inboard so much that the slider would exert a lot of torque on it. It is far better to use the Rock Hard system with the pinch weld, tub, and body mount attachments. Their sliders are also strong, act as steps, are well made and finished, and keep mall crawlers from dinging your doors. There are several other threads on the topic, one probably 60 pages long, if you care to read all about it.
