My 21 eco diesel with 17,000 miles has a sluggish jerk choke missing situation going on when going up a slight incline when you get to around 30mph and when you are on the highway at around 65-75 when accelerating. It’s like it is jerking / missing. Maybe being deprived of fuel idk. It’s done this for about 1500 miles. The dealer changed the fuel filter but that didn’t help. Trying to figure it out before I take it back.

It drives absolutely normal most of the time and it doesn’t do this all the time… but it does happen everyday.

I had a Cummins 5.9 and it had a problem with similar symptoms. I did like the dealer and changed the fuel filter with no change. Took it to the dealer and the problem turned out to be the lift pump. In the case of my Dodge the lift pump is located in the fuel tank. Dealer put in a new pump (under warranty) and those symptoms never came back.

Might be time to take it in.
