I believe so, yes. Safelite had to go through the dealership to get it.

What’d it cost? I see you don’t have the Big Black Box, so I’m figuring it was cheaper.

Safelite quoted me a little over $800 installed out of pocket. I ended up going through insurance and just paid my deductible.

Gosh, I sure hope that comes down over time. JK windshields are about $200 if you go non-OEM.

And this is exactly why I got the windshield replacement windshield for 5 years insurance. I have a crack on mine but I'm holding out until it gets cooler outside since I have 70% 3M Crystalline tint on it and that runs about $250 just for the tint itself.

Whoa you have to pay a deductible for glass? My state windshields are covered by insurance free if you have comprehensive by law. Guess we pay for it in the long run but its nice when you have to use it. But at $800 dollars I think that’s good odds considering my quote is sub $1000 a year.
