No its from China. The quality is not bad overall, but if you don’t mind tinkering and upgrading things, its a decent platform. If you want buy and go, I would look at something like Off Grid, Expedition or Turtleback.
Off grid was my fist choice. Gave up on that. To damn expensive. Like what 30k now? Turtleback if I wanted a rooftop tent I'd just buy one. Going Ovrlnd camper brand. Best value for the money I think.

My original plan was to order an AluCab but being at camp and having to go into town, move or whatever, I didnt wanna pack up for that. I still think an enclosed cab style overland trailer could be in the future, just not in the cards at the moment.

Nice build. What are your initial impressions on the OVS tent? Looking at the Bushveld II when it comes out end of May and curious what you think of their quality?

Overall its a good value for the money but my ARB Simpson 3 has better overall quality and the ARB is slightly easier to set up. The OVS4 does have nicer features (moonroof, shoe bags, more storage pockets and loft storage) but the poles are smaller in diameter. Seems easier to push around when I was simulating wind. Also the front entrance needs to be staked down unlike ARB which does not, so this could be an issue in rocky terrain or gravel camping lots. The biggest thing was the size, we wanted more size and it delivered on that, its huge!

Task #34 completed. Mounting for the splitter/hatchet and pick. Also some room for likely the first aid kit or tool bag. Light mounted under to illuminate the box.

Swapped out the included 270 awning for a Rhino Rack 270 batwing. I had a RR compact on my previous trailer and loved it. Light weight and easy to use.
We also took out the trailer for its first night, successful in the new tent and the cooking setup is perfect. Just need to tweak some pots/pans/utensils and it will be better. Walk around video to come soon.

Looks good. I can’t help but feel anxiety with the weight of the tent sky high. Probably just an illusion since there’s open space under it. Did u air down the trailer tires? I run mine at 10 psi.

After I found out how long my insurance was going to take and still wanting a pick up box, I backed out of the Wrangler deal. Happy I got another Gladiator, so much easier for camping and the mountain bikes.

No issues there. The trailer dry is almost 1500lbs and the tent is only 170lbs and about 15-20lbs with awning. Loaded the trailer about 1700-1800lbs without water which adds 121lbs at the very bottom. It drives very smooth, no issues at highway speed.

Added lower rock/work lights and upper camp area lights. Super simple install, wired directly to the battery so they can be used without having to turn the main trailer power on. Wired separately to upper and lower lights. Only draws 24 watts with all 8 on.

Couple small adds done over the last month. Renogy MPPT controller for the solar panel and it definitely pulls more on an overcast day. Larger group 27 80ah AGM battery, the 45ah wasnt cutting it and traction boards were mounted on the driver side. These are the Rhino Rack units that pretty much accommodate any traction board. Also built a diesel heater in a hardcase, 3kw Vevor with 10L tank. Runs off the Jackery 240 without issue and only draws about 8-13watts on low, so about 20 hours run time.
