Edit: I looked it up as it’s new to me, and it’s a Volkswagen brand. Will be made in South Carolina as a direct competitor to Rivian.

It will be interesting how this impacts Rivian given the seemingly similar target demographic plus using the Rivian software stack. I would hope for Rivian's sake that Scout will be targeting a lower price point combined with a more basic interior.

Just watched the livestream and reserved a Traveler SUV with the gas range extender projected at 500+ miles of range. 3 years is a long time for other competition to arrive but the bones are promising

didn’t see much of the interior but I LOVE that they kept a solid rear axle, mechanical lockers, 35” tires and the retractable soft top

I will likely be looking at Scout whenever the time comes to replace my Gladiator.

My JT is only one year old. It 's been good so far; no issues. Knock on wood.

This is my 10th consecutive "Wrangler." But my local Jeep dealer, Stellantis and Carlos Tavares just piss me off to no end. I can't give them in good conscience my hard earned money any longer.

I love me some front bench seats on a truck, it must be said. Giant sunroof is cool... and the REEV is the only way to fly IMO. Very cool stuff.

Very interesting. I’ll definitely be keeping an eye on this but no way I’m jumping on board an all new design/plant/dealership model until they get a bit of time under their belts. The models are going to put a hurt on Rivian IMO. I’ll be interested in hearing how and where they’ll be servicing these. That’s a huge issue for Rivian right now.

I’m with @aldo98229 , dont think I can give Jeep any more money given how poorly they’ve been run by Carlos.

I’ll definitely will be looking at Terra truck when it comes out. Not sure if Gladiator will be even sticking around 2028 given current corporate shakeup at Stellantis…
