I realize this is a Tennessee specific post but wanted to share the design of the Jeep plate that is about to be made available to us Tennesseans who want a Jeep plate. The top one is the standard issue example and the bottom one represents what the personalized plate will look like. These are the state issued samples that were unveiled today at the TN Jeep plate event. The Lady that is doing all the legwork said this has taken 19 months so far to get this pushed through the bureaucrats and through all the approvals. They should start being availabe by the first of the year. A petition was signed by over 1100 of us and a donation was paid. The proceeds went to a charity called A Soldiers Child Foundation which helps children who have lost a parent in active duty military. They presented an $18000+ check to them today which was half of the proceeds with the other half due at a later date. A portion of all the plate sales through the state will continue to go to this organization. Anyway, a cool plate and a good charity to support.
